With most decisions you have to make as a Boss, there are really only three options. Is what I am about to do going to: make it better, make it worse or have no impact?
The key to being a Great Boss is the action you take once armed with the answer. If you are about to do good then do it. If you about to do harm then don’t do it. The brain is made to remember things that come in threes.
A list of three is not short or too long. You can remember three names like Moe, Larry and Curly or Tinker to Evers to Chance. Three is just an easy number of things to remember.
If you want to be a great leader, build an effective team, and if you want to build that team to achieve great things, there are really only three modes of behavior that you must incorporate into you leadership style. Great Bosses do these things well and BossHoles do not. You can learn to be a Great Boss by reading the rest of the book - The BoseHole Effect®.
